Anime Review: Fire Force Season 3 - Episodes 1 - 3 (Spoiler Free)
The third and final season of the Fire Force anime series is based on the manga series of the same title by Atsushi Ohkubo, originally published and serialized in Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Manga Magazine from September 2015 to February 2022. The anime series is produced by David Production.
Fire Force Season 3 takes place after the deaths of Sho and Captain Hague and in season 2 of the anime. Shinra and the rest of Company 8 are about to discover a dark secret. As other Special Fire Force Companies have united in preparation for a looming disaster, the Tokyo Imperial Army captures Akitaru Obi and has labeled Company 8 as traitors.
As Company 8 plots a plan to rescue their captain and stop the Evangelist, they're being hunted by the empire, and a new assassin named Captain Burns looks to spoil their operation.
In Episode One, although Company 8's plan to rescue Captain Obi was a no-brainer, it seems like a setup, and their captain was just used as bait. Despite the odds stacked against them, Company 8 had no choice but to face the situation head-on.
With seemingly no one else to turn to for help, they found an unusual ally to aid them in their rescue operation in Episode Two. Trust issues linger between Shinra and the new ally, but their cooperation is the only way to bring back Company 8's captain. Meanwhile, the Empire perhaps already expected Company 8's move to rescue Obi.
Company 8's rescue operation seems to be going as planned in Episode Three. Great to see Tamaki being highlighted more. Also, Fire Force is never without some comedy, which makes the anime series so much fun to watch.
With three episodes of the final season of Fire Force already in the books, there's so much to look forward to as the anime series progresses. Fire Force Season 3 has been good so far.
Fire Force has a compelling story. The comedy, fight scenes, and fan service are just some of the things that make Fire Force an enjoyable and fun anime series. David Production definitely put a lot of effort into the anime.
Overall, Fire Force Season 3 is an absolutely must-see anime series.
