Sung Jinwoo returns with more fast-paced action and brutality in Solo Leveling Season 2 -Arise from the Shadow- which premieres Sunday, January 5, on Crunchyroll

The much-anticipated return of Solo Leveling for its second season has finally arrived. The first two episodes of Solo Leveling Season 2 -Arise from the Shadow- set the stage for the thrilling continuation of Sung Jinwoo's journey as a hunter. Picking up where Season 1 left off, Jinwoo's experience in doing daily quests and raids paid off.

While Jinwoo has grown more powerful and gained new abilities despite being an E-ranked hunter, they will be put to the test in the first two episodes of Solo Leveling Season 2. Of course, there's no shortage of fast-paced action and brutality in the latest season of Solo Leveling. For old heads, it will remind them a bit of the 90s anime called "Berserk".

Despite being a badass hunter, Jinwoo's still very much an average Joe. He has to take care of his sibling and his ailing mother and pay the bills. He may be an overpowered E-ranked hunter but he's still human though. What remains to be seen is how he'll deal with new obstacles and more powerful magical beasts in Solo Leveling Season 2.

The animation in Solo Leveling Season 2 is really good. Props to A-1 Pictures for the quality of their work in this anime series, especially the smooth action sequences.

The first two episodes of Solo Leveling Season 2 have been impressive so far. Overall, Solo Leveling Season 2 -Arise from the Shadow- is worth watching. Hopefully, the quality of animation will be even better in the upcoming episodes.
