Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Free Demo Coming Out On September 17!

The Open Network Test Surpassed One Million Downloads!

SEGA is thrilled to announce that a demo of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, which launches on September 25, will arrive on September 17. Players will be able to transfer their progress from the demo once the game releases. The Open Network test surpassed one million downloads worldwide. Survey results also showed high praise, with 94% of respondents expressing satisfaction.

*The total download figure includes both the Closed Network Test and the Open Network Test.

*The survey was conducted during the Open Network Test.

The demo will be available on PlayStation^®5, Nintendo Switch™, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and Epic Games for free, so don't miss out on your chance to join in on the fun.

*The demo will release on Steam and Epic Games Store on September 18.

Demo Arriving September 17

Try customizing your Machines and equipping different Gadgets. Once you're done, test them out on the track in Grand Prix and Time Trial! Your save data can be carried over to the full game afterwards!

Playable Characters

SONIC

The fastest hedgehog alive—Sonic's free as the wind and able to smash through the sound barrier. Even behind the wheel, he's set to blow past his competition.

TAILS

Sonic's best friend and trusted sidekick. A whiz with gadgets, Tails has engineered his own Machine for the race!

KNUCKLES

An echidna warrior, mighty proud of his fists. Single-minded and no-nonsense, Knuckles is out to win it all. Watch out for him barreling down the racetrack!

AMY

A spirited and kindhearted hedgehog. Amy never quits once she's set a goal. With her perfect handling, she's ready to prove that she's a contender!

Grand Prix

Compete in four rounds to score the highest point total.

Time Trial

Race to cross the finish line in the fastest time possible.

Gadget Customization

Fitting your ride with different gadgets grants you all kinds of unique abilities.

Machine Customization

Every aspect of your ride, including its parts, colors, decals, and textures, is customizable. There are over 70,000 Machine combinations available in the full version of the game!

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is a brand-new title crafted by an elite crew of SEGA racing game developers. Zoom across land, sea, and air in high-octane, unpredictable races where courses change with each lap!
