Ubisoft Philippines Invites Gaming Communities to New Office in BGC
#LaroTayUbi
Taguig — Ubisoft Philippines, first AAA co-development studio in the country, celebrated the grand opening of its one and only brand-new office space in The Finance Center, BGC.
The grand opening event welcomed industry professionals, media representatives, and gaming content creators. The event focused on celebrating the timelessness of games, with the theme “Laro Tayo?” loosely translated to “let’s play?”
Highlights of the event included speeches from key company leaders, Jean-Francois Valle, Zone Managing Director, and Chip Go, Studio Manager, interactive studio tours, exclusive production showcase, and a variety of engaging activities around the studio designed to celebrate the spirit of gaming.
“We are incredibly excited to show our new office space and open our doors to partners, media, and key members of the gaming community,” said Studio Manager, Chip Go, “We’re proud of how far we’ve come, being able to co-develop 12 AAA games and 3 DLCs since we started, with our team recently celebrating the launch of Skull & Bones, and our upcoming game—Assassin’s Creed: Shadows that we also played a major part in.”
JP Tan, Studio Art Director, also shares the team’s inspiration for the new office space. “We always say our ‘workplace is our playground.’ When we were designing our space, we wanted it to reflect our dedication to providing our team with an inspiring environment to create memorable gaming experiences.”
Attendees had the opportunity to explore the new office, including their production floor through guided tours, gaining insight into the innovative workspaces where actual game development happens.
Additionally, guests enjoyed a range of activities, from game stations, and a live band playing video game music, all while savoring classic Filipino snacks and refreshments.
The event also had a raffle, with an epic gaming laptop Lenovo LOQ 15IRH8 (Intel® Core™ i7-13620H, NVIDIA RTX 4060) sponsored by Lenovo, a Ugee S640 art tablet from VST-ECS, a One by Wacom drawing tablet sponsored by Wacom Philippines and distributor Jondrich, and last but not the least, a Huion KAMVAS RDS 220 2.5k drawing monitor from Huion Philippines.
The event culminated in a series of press interviews with the company’s key figures, who also shared that yes, they’re hiring (check out their website to apply!).
